Spring Beer Fest Würzburg

Locally known as Frühlingsfest, the annual spring beer fest in Würzburg is a must-experience for any beer and festival lover. This annual celebration starts a month before Easter and typically runs for three weekends, but also during the weekdays in between on the Talavera-Mainwiesen, right along the Main River with the stunning Marienberg Fortress as a backdrop.

The festival features all the classic elements of Munich’s iconic Oktoberfest, but in a smaller, more intimate version — with just one big beer tent for up 4500 guest serving Würzburger Hofbräu, traditional Franconian food, and live music. The Hofbräu-Festzelt, can hold thousands of visitors and becomes the heart of the festivities with traditional brass bands and modern entertainment alternating throughout the days and nights.
