Condé Nast Traveler and the Washington Post checked in with travel pros as to what it’s like to travel in Europe this summer and we were honored at Inside Europe to be among the travel experts interviewed.
Traveling is our passion and profession at Inside Europe. Now more than ever, it’s important to walk the walk and experience first-hand what it is like to visit Europe: from North to South, East to West. Yes, Italy was and is packed, especially cities like Rome, Venice and Florence. As is Paris, France and cruise ship ports like Barcelona, Spain and Lisbon, Portugal.
If you know where to go, and when, magical moments are plenty
Europe isn’t “sold out” as some outlets reported, however knowing where to go and when to stay matters even more during the busy summer months. And while it’s not all peachy, with staff-shortages affecting availability at hotels and restaurants and unusually high numbers of flight cancellations and delays, the magical moments of European travel awaiting you in our destinations are plenty and as memorable as always, and then some.
Both our 2022 travelers and team members made incredible memories we will all treasure for a lifetime. Let’s not forget that part of being a traveler is to become part of the destination experience, even if that includes a snafu, like a two-day, nationwide, Italian taxi strike turning into a few days. But with a hotel in the heart of the city, nothing is ever too far away — there is always public transportation, too. Plus, with seasoned travel experts at your side, you’re never lost and may even make discoveries beyond the original itinerary: serendipitous moments that’ll turn out to be everyone’s favorite in retrospect.

Our Promise: Travel Better Together
Our team of passionate travel experts continue to visit our destinations, experiencing old favorites and making new discoveries — thanks to established partnerships with national, regional and local tourism boards like Atout France, ENIT Italy, Turespana, Visit Portugal, The Historic Highlights of Germany, and many more.
We empower our guests to be travelers, not just tourists, by creating one-of-a-kind journeys that are highly personalized. “We are matchmakers between favorite destinations, ours and yours”, explains Sandra Weinacht, co-founder of Inside Europe Travel Experiences. “We’ve been everywhere we take our travelers, not just once, but again and again. We don’t just visit major sights, but also explore the local neighborhoods — seeking out family-owned businesses from charming coffee shops to beloved restaurants, artisan shops…” Inside Europe travelers also get insider access to magical places not listed in tourist guides — a unique, immersive perspective of both big cities and small towns, often including places they’ve never heard of.
