On Palm Sunday, April 2, the LCHS Choral Artists directed by Dr. Jeff Brookey are the featured guest choir for Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. The students from La Cañada High School in California will be singing at the main altar at San Pietro in Vaticano at 4 pm.
It is important to note that the choir’s singing as part of the liturgy and visitors are asked to be respectful.
Saint Peter’s Basilica is an actual parish church with Mass celebrated daily for the local community – and the thousands of visitors who happen to drop by throughout the day.
Access to St. Peter’s Basilica is free of charge and requires no tickets, but everyone has to pass through the security checkpoints. It is highly recommended to arrive well in advance of the worship service.
Church appropriate dress code is required: No shorts, short skirts or sleeveless shirts when entering St. Peter’s Basilica or when attending a Papal event on St. Peter’s Square.
