Considered a “Premium ship” and sailing exclusively on the Rhine, the MS Lafayette was named after the Marquis de Lafayette, a great figure in French history and hero of the United States War of Independence.
A Small(er) Premium Ship
Completely renovated in 2014, the MS Lafayette by our partner CroisiEurope is a unique, small(er) -so-called “intimate” sized Premium ship, 90 meters long and 10 meters wide.
For the 2023 Springtime River Cruise, it can accommodate 74 passengers, in double cabins, spread over two decks. The size of each cabin is between 10 square meters (single, for staff and directors) to 15 square meters with many amenities typical of a four star European hotel.
The MS Lafayette’s decor is contemporary with white, gray and sand tones, combined with mauve and lilac shades.
Panorama Views from the Restaurant + Sundeck
Your river cruise restaurant is located on the upper deck. Here, all meals are served during the cruise — with large windows allowing guests to fully enjoy the panorama along the Rhine: Half-timbered Alsatian homes in France, charming cobblestone villages and hilltop castles along the Rhine, followed by windmills and flower fields in the Netherlands. On the same deck as the restaurant is also the lounge and bar with a dance floor.

The sundeck of your Inside Europe river cruise ship is the ideal place to relax and admire the aforementioned landscapes. Stretch your legs, maybe even take a nap on offering comfortable sun loungers. There is also a large shaded area for those sunny days.
Inside Europe Host traveling with you
The cruise ship reception is staffed 24/7 staffed with English-speaking hosts. In addition to the resident cruise director, Christian, an expert local guide and fun Inside Europe host is traveling with you on this ship charter for musicians traveling with Dr. Anderson and Dr. Quintana: to liaise, but also coordinate all off ship experiences from the performances to sightseeing as well as the pre-/post cruise parts of the journey.
